Dear San Diego friends and family:
The Mayoral election is this Tuesday, June 5th. My friend Omar Passons and I took the picture below because we wanted people to see that Nathan Fletcher has already caused many to set aside partisan politics and help you answer the question: Why is Nathan Fletcher the right candidate for Mayor?
We aren’t paid campaign staffers and Nathan’s campaign didn’t provide us with any official campaign language to write this. We did this because we believe in Nathan and his vision for the city – which includes making San Diego a global center for the innovation economy, protecting our environment and repairing our city’s finances so we can focus on San Diego’s neighborhoods. Please read our thoughts and vote for Nathan Fletcher this Tuesday (June 5th) to be our next Mayor.
I am an attorney, a dedicated volunteer in my community, and I care deeply about San Diego. I am voting for Nathan Fletcher because his plans for having the city focus on improving neighborhoods in San Diego are what matter most to me. I volunteer on the Homeless Women’s Services Advisory Board to fight homelessness and believe in Nathan’s commitment to things like Housing First and to finding homes for our returning veterans. And I believe that his vision to improve the economy for all San Diegans, not just one group, is what sets him apart. I took this picture with a Republican friend of mine to make the point that Nathan’s willingness to work with everyone is already bringing people together. Ryan and I come from different backgrounds and don’t agree on every issue, but we both see that the city needs non-partisan leadership right now to move forward for a better future. On Tuesday please go to the polls and vote for Nathan Fletcher to be our next Mayor.
San Diego deserves a leader who both understands and can champion fiscal responsibility and reform and also holds the moral obligation to fix our neglected infrastructure and neighborhoods. To me, Nathan is the only candidate who can implement a strategic economic and environmental vision for our city. For years, much has been said about needed reforms in San Diego, and many candidates can promise such things — but, it takes a leader to get it done. Whether the issue is pension reform, adoption, taxes, or even bike trails and city permitting, Nathan’s ability to circumvent politics-as-usual for collaborative government is unparalleled. With hours left in this Mayoral Primary Election, I am asking you, my friends and colleagues, to be sure to take a long look at Nathan Fletcher for Mayor.
If you are firmly in favor of Nathan, please be sure to vote on Tuesday and forward this to family and friends throughout San Diego. If you are still undecided, please give Nathan’s campaign a call and learn more about Nathan’s plan for our city and his legislative successes such as Chelsea’s Law, and statewide small business reforms.
