Ryan Trabuco’s Biography
Ryan Trabuco is Club President of two San Diego-area Democratic clubs: Democrats for Equality — one of the largest Democratic Clubs in Southern California — as well as the Clairemont Democratic Club.
As a Democratic Party activist, is a club member of the San Diego County Young Democrats and the San Diego County Democrats for Environmental Action. In 2019, he was elected as the Assembly District 77 Executive Board Representative to the California Democratic Party, and was elected to the San Diego County Democratic Party’s Central Committee the following year earning over 15,000 votes.
Within his community, he was elected to an unprecedented four terms as President of Clairemont Town Council, and served in that role for nearly 6 years. The Clairemont Town Council works to promote the civic, commercial, educational, and cultural activities of Clairemont — San Diego’s largest neighborhood home to over 80,000 residents. In 2017, he was named President Emeritus for his years of service to the Clairemont community.
He has served as a Juvenile Justice Commissioner in San Diego County, which works to provide oversight of the administration and activities of the county’s juvenile justice system. Also, he served two terms on the county’s Alcohol & Drug Advisory Board (now the Behavioral Health Advisory Board).
Prior to moving to San Diego in 2007, he had served on the City of Santa Ana’s Environmental & Transportation Commission, and as a member of the Orange County Alcohol & Drug Advisory Board.
