Ryan Trabuco’s Biography
Ryan Trabuco is Co-Chair of the California Democratic Party’s LGBTQ Caucus, and the Immediate Past President of San Diego Democrats for Equality — one of the largest Democratic Clubs in Southern California and the 2023 Democratic Club of the Year.
In 2024, he was re-elected to the San Diego County Democratic Central Committee representing Assembly District 78, and was elected as a DNC Congressional District Delegate to nominate the Harris-Walz ticket at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
He was elected to an unprecedented four terms as President of the Clairemont Town Council, and was named President Emeritus in 2017 for his years of service to the Clairemont community. He also served as President of the Clairemont Democratic Club.
Professionally, he’s worked for a California State Senator, an Orange County Supervisor, a San Diego County Supervisor, and a Mayor. In 2022, he was appointed to serve on the City of San Diego’s Human Relations Commission and served as Commission Secretary. He previously served two terms on San Diego County’s Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board (now the Behavioral Health Advisory Board), and as a Juvenile Justice Commissioner.
